01

Standard

Out in the open.

For trading, swapping, and everything that needs to work with other apps.

  • Public amounts & addresses
  • Works with DEXs and DeFi
  • Familiar, everyday transfers
~$0.001 / payment
02

Private

Keep the numbers to yourself.

For payroll, invoices, and payments where the amount is your business.

  • Encrypted amounts & balances
  • Sender & recipient stay visible
  • Privacy without the extra cost
~$0.001 / payment
MOST PRIVATE

Shielded

A little more like cash.

For payments that keep your amount and the connection between wallets private.

  • Hidden amounts & balances
  • Unlinked sender & recipient
  • Protected by zero-knowledge proofs
~$0.35 / payment
Illustrative network fees. Actual costs vary. Private and Shielded balances cannot be used directly on a DEX.

1:1
Backed by USDC

One USDC held in reserve for every zkUSD. Public supply. On-chain backing.

Your tokens stay yours

No freeze authority, no permanent delegate, and no admin transfer path for zkUSD. Minting is restricted to the program and backed by locked USDC.

Public backing. Private payments.

Supply and reserve accounts are public, so anyone can check the backing at any time, while the payments themselves stay private.

Math, not promises

Every shielded payment carries a zero-knowledge proof that the program checks on-chain before a single token moves. Each note can be spent exactly once, and hidden amounts are tied to the transfer that carries them by a proof across two curves.

How Zero works.

Short version. The whole idea fits on one screen.
What is zkUSD?

A dollar token on Solana, backed one-for-one by USDC held in reserve. Wrap USDC in, get zkUSD out. Redeem any time. The twist: each payment carries a privacy level that you pick.

What is $ZERO?

The token of the Zero project, launched with a SOL pair. It's how the community backs the private-dollar idea. The CA on this page is the only official one — anything else is not us.

Who can see my payments?

On Standard, everyone — that's how Solana works by default. On Private, the amount is encrypted but the two wallets stay visible. On Shielded, amounts and the link between sender and recipient are hidden behind zero-knowledge proofs.

Is it really self-custodial?

Yes. Connecting a wallet never gives this site access to your funds. Your keys sign everything, every action shows exactly what it costs before you confirm, and nothing moves without your signature.

Payroll, rent, invoices, a gift. On a public chain, anyone who knows your address can read your whole financial life. Zero's point is that visibility should be a choice you make per payment, not a default you're stuck with.
No. Private and Shielded balances cannot be used directly on a DEX — you move back to Standard first. DEXs need public amounts to function, so this is a property of the design, not a bug.
In on-chain reserve accounts. Supply and reserves are public, so anyone can check the backing at any time. The reserves panel on this page reads live chain data from public RPCs — what hasn't loaded shows "—".
A shielded payment carries a zero-knowledge proof that has to be verified on-chain before anything moves. Verifying proofs costs more compute than a plain transfer — roughly $0.35 against ~$0.001. The fees shown are illustrative; actual costs vary.
The buy button on this page routes to the official pool once the CA is published. Until then every buy button here says so instead of sending you somewhere wrong.
